Christina Sue-Chan (PhD, MBA, BSc (Psychology) – Toronto; MLIS – Western Ontario) is Associate Head and Associate Professor, Department of Management, City University of Hong Kong. She served as Acting Head of the Department of Management, City University of Hong Kong in the Fall semester, 2015-2016.
Dr. Sue-Chan’s main research interests include coaching in the context of leadership and (social) entrepreneurship, self-regulatory processes in motivation, and creativity. Her research has been published in prominent management (e.g., Journal of Management) and psychology (e.g., Developmental Psychology) journals. She has presented her work at numerous conferences including the Academy of Management, American Psychological Association, Canadian Psychological Association, European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology, and Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Dr. Sue-Chan’s community service includes serving on the Executive Committee of TREATS, a registered charity in Hong Kong whose mission is “to give every child the chance to live and participate in an accepting and integrated society”. She served (2012-2017) as the external examiner for the Associate of Business Administration in General Management programme in the Community College of City University, and currently contributes as a Specialist to the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ).
